You see how stupid that is. As if we are really talking about he started getting the privilege poor Bo stuff and he was a first round pick then...... Moronic thought process, but anything than to admit hey maybe we should treat all the kids like humans lol

Could you run your posts thru a syntax check? lol

Lol. He wants to fight again then run to all his friends..... You can't make this up. Just continue to run with that logic you just said. Time for a new cape though, the one you wearing is showing it's age with that logic lol

Just to play devils advocate here;

He's also a guy that was a legacy 3 year starter, job in 0 jeopardy, had NIL deals and 4th year starter locked up. Then saw things being kinda sucky with the new HC hire and just said "F Auburn, I'm out"

Don't get me wrong, I understand why he did it, I can appreciate why he did it. His college path to the NFL got much easier after leaving, and Auburn undoubtedly fielded a crappier offense without him.

But as a fan, the proven starters that said screw this I'm gone; hurts.

Nah he can't see or understand. Did you see him in any of other threads caping. One thing I've learned on here, you are going to piss a certain group off when you speak on treating people equally. They hate that

Lol ok. Good thing I wasn't ever talking to you in the first place. Shouldn't be any problem with you stopping your obsession and just STFU since NOBODY talks to you in the first place lol

You’re childish in the extreme. You’re not man enough to talk to me. You make an obvious insult, but not directly. If you insist on posting the same moronic crap at every opportunity, folks may respond. Even those you don’t like. Your options are to 1) don’t post at all; 2) truly ignore me, not just taking indirect swipes. Lol. Lol.

No you actually did that. You threw the first insult but ok cool you spoke and nobody cares, now you can just go away. You don't have to interject into a convo that nobody asked you to join.

Lol at man enough to talk to you.... You Internet warriors. You are too old for that. We both know that's nothing you would say outside of your avatar let's be serious

I don’t require an invitation to any thread on this forum. Grow up. lol.

Dunno. But this guy was a Heisman finalist, an eyelash from being our 2nd leading all-time passer in less than 3 years and a first round draft pick, so it’s kinda insane to complain that we treat him differently than Joey Gatewood. Perhaps the stupidest comparison to demonstrate bias I’ve ever seen.

Who is Joey Gatewood?

Little used TE for Louisville. And former AU QB with 54 career AU passing yards. He and Bo’s contributions are virtually indistinguishable, apparently.

Don’t remember. Hope he does better at TE. Thanks

Saw the field more. Maybe he’ll get a FA deal, but not yet. So he and Bo have that in common, too. I just hope the NFL doesn’t treat them differently.

1897 for me— John Heisman’s only undefeated year on the Plains. That guy could flat-out coach. None this namby pamby stuff you get from some of these young whipper snappers today.

Bo has the second most passing attempts of any AU QB ever. That's why he's the 3rd all time leading passer. He played a bunch of snaps during the modern era where we sling it around.

He just wasn't very good at AU. He was defended on this forum disproportionately to his contributions.

He made a very smart decision to transfer to a team with the perfect system for him, and he played extremely well there. Good for him and wish him the best of luck.

We’re all going on memory here and there’s a ton of posts to sort through, but I recall a lot of criticism. I know I was shocked at his level of success at Oregon. I recall saying he was frenetic and didn’t expect him to ever be a high draft pick. I was wrong. Anyone who saw a better quarterback than his stats at Auburn reflected was right, weren’t they? I’ll eat crow and tip my hat to his defenders who saw what I didn’t.

So what’s your larger point on this thread? This is a largely a congratulatory thread for a guy who played hard for Auburn for 3 years and went on to greater success.

Why the need for some to derail that and rehash, ad nauseum, the same tired, petty arguments— especially when he proved his defenders…RIGHT? “Bo’s a first round draft pick? Well, he didn’t play that great here, but some of you guys insisted he was better than he played and it wasn’t his fault! You defended him as being a good quarterback!”

Well, someone saying that is walking into one hell of a self own. The folks who defended him on this forum were right and the folks who harangued them for doing so have egg on their face and should be eating crow, but they’re so insistent on claiming their always right they can’t see what they’re doing so they’re STILL haranguing those who defended him. They’re so intent on whining they can’t even realize how illogical their criticism is in this case.

Hats off to Bo and my apologies! Hats off to his defenders! I was wrong, you were right! - see that ain’t hard.

Will he succeed in the NFL? Dunno. Many don’t. Pat Sullivan didn’t and you’ll never convince me he wasn’t a good quarterback for his era.

I don't have a grand thesis statement for this thread. I saw a discussion and thought I'd chime in. You know, to discuss AU football on an AU football discussion board.

I did that a couple days ago. You're right, it wasn't hard.

No. Just decipherable syntax. When someone can’t do that on their own, there are technological aids. Oh, and lol.

Not only played 3 years. Graduated magna cum laude from Auburn and transferred as a graduate. Not uncommon at all to attend a different system for a grad degree. Pretty high accolades being a top choice in career opportunities. Bo deserves congratulations from Auburn football boards and various outlets.

He came to Auburn because he decided based on his heart rather than his head.  Our offense line was crap and Gus's game plans were just as bad.  Then he got delivered into the shitshow that was Mr. Potato Head and rightly decided to make a business move rather than watch Harsin relegate him to an NFL free agent signee at best.

He got placed with a team that had actual weapons and protection on offense and a coherent philosophy, worked on his mistakes and got better in 2 years' time.  NFL scouts aren't dumb.  They know the difference in a Pac-12 defense vs what Bo faced in the SEC.  But they also know facing an SEC defense with one arm tied behind your back while forced to wear a blindfold isn't something you can hang around the QBs neck either.

I'm very happy for Bo.

Great post Titan!

Yes, Oregon provided him with protection, but Kenny Dillingham was the reason Bo went to Oregon.  He knew Bo and had faith in him, and Bo trusted Dillingham to develop his skills and put him in a position that could bring out the best in him.

Oregon offered the weapons and an established offensive system that worked, which allowed Bo to showcase his talents, the kid nearly won the freaking Heisman for crying out loud.  🤩

I admit that I couldn't see Bo's talent or potential here at Auburn, but I never blamed him.  I 100% blamed the piss poor coaching/schemes + the sub-par oline talent for the main reason Bo became frustrated and couldn't improve at Auburn.

I'm happy he found a team and a coaching staff that helped him be successful at Oregon.  I'll pull for him in the pro's, just like I pull for all SEC players in the pro's.
