He will have gone 18 months without playing or practicing at all. Yes he could be ready by the fall but given that long of a lay off anyone would be foolish to think he would be ready to go with only one month of football related activities...And I'm not talked all out practice either by the term football related activities if that threw you off.One AU reporter thinks given the neck injury he may never play again. We have several guys that can step in. Ivey would be a huge get and could provide some excellent depth if he doesn't break into the starting unit. He'll get significant playing time to be sure.
