@augolf1716 Metallica was/is my favorite music act. I remember hearing "One" on cassette in 7th grade and getting hooked on their previous albums afterwards. This song was my car registration plate until recently

Back to music two of the top 5 beginnings of a song.....which is the best

Smoke on the Water is iconic, so that one. I think everyone has learned how to play that intro on the guitar.

In simpler times, some of us (the simpler among us) were happy to cut our teeth on simpler intros, e.g., Kicks, and Day Tripper.

An aural and visual treat, no doubt.

I wish I could find a 20 or so minute version of this out there somewhere:

Portuguese? Whatever it is, I hope I'm not liking something I shouldn't.

ETA - Googled it. Brazilian (I assume Portuguese) but still hope

I don't get it, but it seems harmless enough.

Unforgivably sloppy. Googled him (Wilson Simonal) and it still gave me insufficient information to either translate the title or find a longer cut of his work. I am, however, knowledgeable enough to find you this, a fairly long cover of the old Black Orpheus Theme. Not as seasonal as the Getz/Gilberto material above, but classic bossa nova:

ETA - and this one has a readily available English translation (most famously done by Perry Como?)

This is an emotional song for me. Has been since the first time I heard it. TT stated it may be his overall favorite song too. We passed a few pms about it and a few other things. I guess it will carry more meaning now than it did originally for me.
