Need to build up some momentum for this playoffs. I know they always try to rest people but I don't want anyone to get cold and we need homefield bad...

Now, the real debate can begin...who will make the roster for the post-season? Do you have Uggla and BJ playing or go with Johnson and Gattis? Who will be the starting 4? (Teheren, Minor, Medlin & ??) Alex Wood has played well but is he ready for playoff time?

I disagree a bit. Maholm and Meds have been killer at home.and Minor by far has been our best road starter. With the division round going back to the 2-2-1 format instead of that 2-3 mess from last year and given how our pitchers perform at home versus on the road I would have a rotation of 1. Maholm (2.18 home ERA and most experience) 2. Meds (hot in second half and 2.45 home ERA) 3. Minor (2.76 road ERA) 4. Julio,

With all that said, given we have the best home record and worst road record of any of the 5 teams in the NL playoffs I expect us to go full throtle to get home field all the way through the last day of the season especially since we will have 3 days off after the season ends before we start our division series. Whatever Freddie wants for the playoff rotation should not be affected by going full throttle for home field.

Heard this morning from a Braves insider that they will use the 4 man-rotation, with possibly Freddie Garcia as the fourth. Wood has been sent to the Bull-Pen for the playoffs. Guess that leaves Maholm odd man out...
