"Forcibly sterilize her "

How sick

Apparently you prefer giving out free abortions, to anyone, without questions. OK, that's not sick at all

Again, you're making up a complete bull**** just because you do not want to deal with the situation. Lie about what others are saying, demagogue them and paint them as a villain, as you ignore the realities of the world.

That's rich for someone who insists this is not about her as an individual. :-\

Apparently you think ideology has no practical results.

Homer. , stay out of the deep end of the pool.

Your water wings aren't sufficient there.

OK, here's the solution. Give her free rent have a 5000 square-foot house. Completely furnished free electricity free cable ( basic ) and free food for everybody. Add in free healthcare, and free Wi-Fi, of course.

Now, here's the kicker. Starting tomorrow, any mother who cannot raise her own children will have to give them up for adoption. If she continues to have kids for what she cannot care for, take her in the custody and forcibly sterilize her. Giving up those other kids for adoption as well. There, there's your damn solution.

Please don't ever make fun of commies or socialists again. You're far worst.

:roflol:/> !!!

This proves you don't know what the hell you're talking about. Socialist paradise or totalitarian nightmare, even when given both choices you reject them out right. Nothing is ever good enough for you. You just want a utopian world without any consequences.

Even more irony.

Want to compare credentials, "genius"?

On this matter it's best if you stay on the steps.

Once it goes to 15, they'll demand 25 then 30 and on and on.

Why not ? The " rich " have more than enough anyways. It's only " fair " .

Was that so hard? I mean, I think it's terrible. But at least you're admitting what you think should be done.

Now, what happens if the kids don't get adopted? Wards of the state? Pay to put them in foster care? Have you saved any money?

And for someone that wants maximum freedom (especially on taxes), forced sterilization seems pretty unconstitutional.

In a thread about the minimum wage, you veered WAY off course in asking this question, imo. So I gave you an answer. CLEARLY, it was mostly tongue in cheek, but the POINT I am trying to make is that who the hell is held accountable for their own actions any more ?

She has no right to other people's money. She doesn't And sure as hell the govt has no RIGHT to take from others to give to her. Yet that's what we do, out of a false concept of ' compassion '. Feel free to donate to her all you want, but don't tell me it's out of a sense of " who we are as a people " to take from those who make good decisions and give to those who sure as hell know better, but out of sheer greed and a stubborn sense of entitlement, go right along and keep screwing up, over and over and over.

This was no accident. No calamity or terrorist attack happened where she suddenly found herself in this predicament.

Since we are using extreme cases to support our arguments...

I love the part where you go on to say that story supports the premise of yours, yet also chastise others for using " extreme " cases. In a thread about the min wage. YOU introduced a story where this girl was working 4 jobs.

But it didn't have anything to do w/ the minimum wage though, huh?

Actually I didn't veer off. I believe it was you that brought up the deadbeat mom having 10 kids.

I understand all these sentiments and agree with some of them. But nonetheless people are going to do stupid things. Sometimes we can let them suffer the consequences. Sometimes the consequences affect others, like children that can't help the parents they came into this world with. So we do have a responsibility to them or we are a sorry country not worth caring about. Unfortunately the side effect of that sometimes is that it sort of benefits the mom that can't tell a guy no or buy some damn condoms. But the children matter.

I never called her a 'deadbeat'. And that was the story as I heard it, via the radio. SHE was among those protesting - what ? Raising the min wage. THAT was the story. The reporter later added the part about the 10 kids the woman was trying to raise, while also getting govt assistance , while she worked.

And there's the problem - ever since the 'war on poverty ' started over 50 years ago, poverty hasn't been anywhere close to wiped out. And no damn amount of govt assistance is going to keep her ( and those like her ) from having multiple kids as long as they keep getting bonuses and not penalties for their actions.

Maybe she's taking care of some younger siblings, and didn't give birth to all 10 herself. I get that. But I'm betting there's no permanent husband in the picture. No co-bread winner. She only has 2-3 kids, and stays in a stable relationship, I would bet big that she doesn't get 1 dime from the govt, she has a far better living for herself on what she makes. But SHE put a greater burden on herself. For no damn reason, other than she wanted to. Just because. Oh, the govt will give her more money...

It has to stop.

What is the damn purpose of the minimum wage if it wasn't meant to be a living wage? The minimum wage is fine and dandy when you're in high school but when you're by yourself in the real world and working 40 hours a week( for many jobs, only 36 hours a week) you're bringing in roughly less than a thousand bucks a month.

Now let's put 200 dollars a month on food ( no eating out)

Cheap Rent ( 200 -300)

Cheap car payment ( 100-200)

Power, cable, utilities ( 100-300) bucks

Health/ auto insurance (around 100)

Cheap cell phone (atleast 50)

Get sick and cannot pay the copay, tough luck!! If the lower class is forced to live on minimum wage, then the gap needs to be bridged to a living wage.

Why are some jobs limited to only 36 hours :).

Please share your reasoning. I meant below 36 though. I work 36 hours a week now only because I work three 12's. Employers sometimes want the part timers to work less than 36 to avoid paying the benefits that come with full-time hours though.

What does this have to do with the minimum wages? The above mentioned practice has been utilized for years and years.
