And I can't believe Bruce had the audacity in the pre-game press conference to make excuses for our play on the road saying "Oh it's hard to win on the road, blah blah blah, were going to lose some more games on the road...". Why is that the expectation for your team? And what message does that send to your team?

Exactly, that excuse now a crutch and mentally it’s ok to lose on the road.

It’s more about being proactive.  When the HC is making excuses ahead of games, that tells us to get ready for tough ending to the season. 
 

I posted a week or so ago that this team was going to spend the rest of the season struggling to get 20 wins.  I still believe it.

At home the crowd gives the team energy. However, I still haven’t seen a true alpha to emerge. No one to rally the team when things start going south
