Well I hate the hire. I hate the return of the high school offense. Don’t think he’ll do any better than Gus. I don’t think he will bring the return of the Auburn football we love. The bright side is I do like escorts and strippers so I will now have to be biggest supporter, unfortunately. We will have to wait 3-5 years before we make our next bad hire.

The problem is that no one wants to coach football for Auburn University, so retreads, nobodies and rehabs are the best we can do.  Pretty sure any coach in the nation could contact Auburn's Gang Who Can't Shoot Straight and show interest in the job.  And yet, we're seriously courting Hugh f'n Freeze.

I don't think we need to worry about Freeze as the next HC. I doubt he's actually being considered by Cohen. Plus I don't think he'll make it past the SEC coimmissioner.

Lazy weak take. Him and gus schemes are nothing alike. Freeze loves to throw the ball. Gus loves to run. They used to be high school coaches that’s where the comp should end.

That’s actually pretty accurate. They won’t think anything of it again until next September. Casual fans are the heavy majority of schools than the rabid crazies like us who are obsessed and pay attention to every little thing.

Don’t think that’s true. Just don’t think we ever will do what it takes to make a splash hire contract wise. We aren’t willing to pay what usc and lsu are paying to get Lincoln Riley and Brian Kelly. When in doubt AU will pick the cheapest option for the original contract.

And that’s why we need to change that. There is only 1 conference and 1 natty champion. Football is entertainment. We have been one of the most boring teams in the nation offensively for several years now. I just want to turn on the tv and watch a high flying prolific passing offense with great QB play winning 10 games a year and hopefully a conference championship every few years and have F U N each Saturday. I haven’t had fun with AU football in years.  I’m so sick of this hard nose power football old auburn fans clamor for. That’s not what win games these days.
