2015 4* JUCO CB Tony Bridges (Ole Miss signee)

Wonder who his replacement is for this class and when do we make that offer.... if any.

Too early to tell. This caught the staff somewhat off guard. The staff had slowed way down on talking to other CB targets. The plan is to get a 2nd CB in this class.

Seems like he's been rumored to flip for a while, if we knew that then I'd hope our coaches were aware as well. They really should not have been caught off guard whatsoever actually.

The coaches really should read this board more often. Lots of useful info.

We stopped recruiting virginia. Viginia was the only place with awesome talent that wouldnt get stolen by LSU, Alabama, UGA, Florida, FSU, or Tennessee. We are competing and losing out on every top target in the area on defense. I just need to bury my head into a hobby and to my work and just start preparing to lose to Alabama in a blowout and also lose recruits to everyone else in recruiting.

I should totally just force myself to become a college basketball fan.

If this caught them off guard, I'm concerned. Even I kinda saw this coming.

Sigh, this will prove to be a big loss. We could have definitely used the immediate help and his confidence at CB.

I agree. We'll survive of course and move on but to deny this is a big loss would be silly. It's happened though so it is what it is.

I hope his loss will be somewhat offset by the guys who'll be sophomores/redshirt frost next year. Ruffin, Roberts, and Bessent were all really talented coming out of high school and haven't had a chance to shine yet.

I'm with you TT. I wonder where E got that information ? Scout has had Bridges as a soft verbal for awhile now and a possible flip has been talked about ad infinitum on most AU recruiting sites and message boards.

It would probably help to not to wallow in posting such totally negative thoughts .

For those in the know, last yr we had some pretty good recruits like Roberts, Besset, etc.... What positions do they play

Have to be honest, the past 2-3 weeks have stung pretty badly. I think many people are freaking out because of the way the UGA game went, recruits questioning our heart, and losing arguably one of our most talented commits (I think Bridges would have a "Duke" like impact on D). We'll pull through it though, we always do.

Maybe he'll flip back after Ole Miss's game tonight, lol.

I hear you, but the Ole Miss D is still good (comparatively) and better yet Auburn's D needs to show some MAJOR improvements.

JMO but not too much of a surprise....seems his commitment was pillow soft for quite a while.

I totally agree with this. Bridges never visited AU. Just committed to us. It was always iffy.

I agree with you. Now, assuming the coaches knew at least as much as we message board posters knew, where is Bridges' replacement? Or did we sign plenty of DB's the past two years and Bridges would simply have been extra gravy?

He did visit. Saw photos of him. Seems like we have some corner issues besides Jones. Maybe Holsey makes the move again.

Unless we get some defensive lineman who can rush the passer it doesn't matter who we have in the secondary.

True story.

This forum is always ready for adults to go to pieces over a JC football player. Big deal.
