Mario just took a team that lost a lot of NFL talent and had ridiculous amounts of key opt outs and won his conference. Something we haven't done in going on 8 years.

Back to back conference titles for him too.

USC isn't very good. Probably deserved 3 losses.

I just can't get behind a Venables hire.   I know the positives, but I just don't know if he has the belly for HC.   He has had many opportunities, guys who want to be HC, really want it, would've been gone by now.  There is nothing wrong with that,  I'd take him as DC any day.

I don't think the PTB will hire any DC except Steele

Taking the kirby route. Waiting for a awesome job to open up. It's smart because it keeps your star shining bright and doesn't risk it fading like it does quick when guys take bad jobs and don't do well. See jeff scott at south florida thks season.

Harbert can go take a long walk off a short peer.

He doesn't have to contend with an Alabama or Georgia either.

Neither does Texas. What's their excuse?

The guy wouldn’t be afraid to. Too bad we didn’t give him the opportunity to.

Imagine a coach getting his team ready to play a conference championship game with such distractions as contract negotiations and rumored interest from another school. I guess it can be done after all.

Cristobal will always be the one that got away unfortunately.

The staff that was rumored he’d bring, sheesh, great recruiters and good coaches. But we can’t have anything nice here 😂

I really like all four possible candidates

Steele disqualified himself to me when I heard his coordinators choices

Three of these guys are relentless recruiters

two of them have HC experience

One with extensive Power 5 experience

I am more interested in the culture these guys will bring but more importantly , who would their staff be.

Surprised at some of the calls in the Oregon game. 4th quarter, Oregon runs a draw twice on 3 and 7 and 3rd and 9. Uber conservative

Confidence in his D for putting constant pressure in the USC QB's face all night. Without blitzing. And with USC in full desperation passing mode. Why not?

Remember when Tom Herman was hot to trot in Houston? He's been worse than Gus Malzahn for Texas. Careful who you wish for.

The typical careful what you wish for. Yea it wouldn’t be so “careful” if we actually had people that cared about the success of auburn athletics vs having their way
