I'm going on record and saying that Hugh Freeze will not be hired due to blowback. We have to stop fans and other parties from interfering with our hiring practices.  It continually screws us.  It caused us to hire Harsin.  It prevented us from firing Harsin earlier.  Now, it will stop us from hiring Freeze.  It is ridiculous.  I do want to make it clear. 

The people who will stop the hiring are concerned about his ethics not his coaching abilities.

That's my point, they're going to spin negatively against Auburn at every chance they get, the last thing we need to do is give them a softball pitch.  But more importantly, Auburn needs to make the right move ethically.  Some people deserve a second chance, Pearl comes to mind.  I don't believe Freeze is deserving of a leadership position at Auburn.

Cohen said over and over again how the coach had to be a good fit for Auburn. Knowing Freeze's past and knowing Auburn's Creed do you really think that Freeze is a good fit? It's not all about coaching abilities or wins and losses. Hiring an immoral person who continues to screw up is not good. No other P5 program would hire Freeze away from Liberty.

What are you talking about? I was under the impression that the Harsin hire was primarily on AD Green. Most fans were like ‘who is that?’ When Harsin was announced out of nowhere. 
 

and fan support for Harsin was pretty low all year. I don’t know how you get the impression that it delayed his firing, especially when we were in the middle of a new AD hunt. 
 

let’s just be honest. AU doesn’t have a good record making big football hires and it has nothing to do with fans or outside influence.
