The idea of him is definitely preferable right now IMO. When you have a very not good offense with a not talented bunch of players, having that "extra" player makes a difference. Payton can run in a straight line no doubt, but I don't think he has the creativity with his mobility like Robby.

I like the idea of running up the middle in a heavy under center formation, but we haven't shown the ability to accomplish even shotgun heavy formations against anyone without the interior exploding immediately (not to mention the edge rusher that came in free lol)
