Auburn adds 4-star DL Kalen Edwards to 2025 class

After a couple visits this fall, Edwards has committed to Auburn.

After visiting for the Iron Bowl, Class of 2025 4-star defensive lineman Kalen Edwards has committed to Auburn. The Dyersburg (Tenn.) native announced the news on social media on Monday night.

Listed at 6-foot-4 and 330 pounds, Edwards is ranked as the No. 261 player, No. 29 defensive lineman and No. 9 player from Tennessee in the 2025 class. Edwards is commitment No. 7 for Auburn in the 2025 cycle, joining Malik Autry and Jourdin Crawford along the defensive line, with Jakaleb Faulk at jack linebacker, Kendarius Reddick at safety, Ryan Ghea at tight end and Spencer Dowland on the offensive line.

Edwards quietly became a top target for Auburn in the 2025 cycle, visiting for both the Georgia and Alabama games this fall. 

He also held Power Five offers from Arkansas, Georgia, Louisville, Memphis, Miami, Missouri and Tennessee. It's another big addition as Auburn looks to stockpile talent in the 2025 class along the line of scrimmage, with Crawford committed as a nose tackle while Autry is looked at as a 3-tech and Faulk coming off the edge.

Defensive line coach Jeremy Garrett led the charge in landing the commitment of Edwards.

Probably depends on how many we take. We may not take more than 2.

Another great pickup in the trenches.  This staff has done a great job of getting Defensive trench type players to commit. Because of te way people rotate defensive linemen you need quality both in starters and in depth pieces because depth pieces play in our defense. Great pickup in the 2025 class. War Eagle and welcome to Auburn.
