On3 just ran a story on behind the scenes. As a back story, Payton and Jackson have stayed in touch with each other on a regular basis since high school. Jackson told Payton earlier this week that he wanted a change and was going to enter the portal as a WR. Payton immediately took the info to Freeze and Marcus Davis, who proceeded to get his high school WR film and was convinced to make him an offer. The whole deal took place in roughly one day.

Sounds like a Hallmark movie waiting to happen

maybe Onterrio McCaleb with and arm. 😎

If he can avoid tripping on grass, that'd be a dangerous combination

Is it me, or did McCaleb always look like he was falling forward on runs? Even when he was full speed, it looked like he was slipping.

Unrelated, I loved the way Ryan Davis ran. It always looked downhill and he ran tough for a WR, IMO.

Why are so many folks second guessing this one? An athlete with an arm who already has history with Thorne?

@ScotsAU Because virtually all our transfer WRs last season didn't do squat, and they played WR in college. Until we land a transfers WR who performs, they are justified in their opinions.
