Auburn just whipped Bama in gymnastics 197.525-197.125 (.400). For those that didn't know.  Suni won the all around for the night!

Not everyone follows the Other AU sports page so wanted to post it over here.

With all of this talk about being over of near the 85 player limit.....Does this mean that for every additional transfer we bring in after spring ball we need to kick a current player to the curb?

Not until we've reached 85, which we haven't. Don't know what the current number is but it's not higher than 80. So we have at least 5 spots to fill before needing to make any tough decisions.

And the staff wants to take their full allotment. So we'll either process kids or some will leave on their own after spring.

We are already low enough that nobody else would have to leave. Some few will leave on their own, but the 85 limit is not a problem. We'll be short on numbers when camp starts in August. If Harsin wants to, he can hand out a few scholarships to deserving walkons. Otherwise, we won't come close to 85 on scholarship.

Hearing there is about to be another wave of players. Offensive guys.

Who else besides King and WRs?  Tank transferring again?  Every OL is a 7th year Sr and the QBs would have to sit out a year

We've already trimmed the fat, the lean and are cutting into the bone. Games will be lost next season due to the quality and quantity of the players who have already left. If more leave, more games will be lost. I don't think there is anybody on this staff who is capable of stopping the bleeding. It's a shame, really.

If King and Javarrius Johnson are set to transfer we are in major trouble.  They have the best upside.

Current Scholarship Players:

  • Anders Carlson (Kicker)
  • Oscar Chapman (Punter)
  • Alex McPherson (Kicker)

This will be something to watch going forward. Carlson will be returning from an injury to compete with a true freshman who just finished high school rated as the #1 kicker. It might not be as much of a lock as some think.

McPherson has a stronger leg than big brother don't know if he's quite as accurate out of HS as BB. WDE WILDCAT PRIDE

Looks like the kicking game is in a good spot.  Now let's see if our offense can get us into field goal range.

The walk on kicker that finished last season for us needs to enter the portal.  He proved last year that he can kick and doubtful he will see the field again with the talent he will be competing against next year.
