The only game one could say their 'defense' didn't win the game, is Tennessee... and Coker was the MVP of that game!

Henry is good! He's gonna win the heisman!

But... He is not the reason, bama is probably gonna win the natty.

Nissan, I was fine with this post until you bought up the Natty. :(/>

Easy now... I'm a domestic car owner!

I know! It pained me to type that. But the way it's lookin, it's up to the 'fighting stoops' , or 'mr dumbo' to prevent the little man from getting another one...

I see problems but I won't necessary say he needs to go. The biggest failure this year was not having a backup qb that was prepared to come in and execute the entire offense No plan b as it were. Gus and Rhett have to sit down and truly evaluate their performance and make changes in how they approach offensive football. Not wholesale change just tweak and adjust things some.

He's not the some reason, but there is a huge difference when he is in compared to when he's out in the offense. No way in hell they are 11-1 without him

What was with all of the substitutions? What happened to HUNH?

He has always done this. It worked to our benefit two years ago when teams like bama rushed their own subs to react and fkr confused. Not so much this year

It seems like we did it a lot more this year. Our WRs spent more time running east and west on and off the field rather than downfield. I don't understand all of the WR substitution. The RB substitution makes sense after a series of plays. The subbing in of an extra blocking lineman makes occasional sense. But I don't understand swapping WRs as frequently as we did.

Gus may keep Lashlee no matter how bad our offense plays. They've known each other for about 11 years. I hope he isn't like Tuberville. Tommy wouldn't make any changes on his staff in the 2000s and things just kept getting worse til finally he was fired.

Well Tommy made changes almost every year and it only took Gus 2 years as HC to make a change at DC, so you may exaggerating just a tad.

We may have done it more this year. The WR subbing may be a problem. It seems we have some that are receiving specialists and some that are blocking specialists. If that's the case then simply substituting those players would be an easy tell to decipher on whether the next play is a pass or a run. It would be fine to sub as long as it doesn't predict the next play.

That's been a problem for us, offense wide, all year. That's why we don't always have our best play makers out there. They aren't versatile enough, but if we constantly sub them in and out, we show our hand. Here's hoping Jovon and Jason spend the off-season practicing blocking.

That's particularly true of the RB's. Robinson out, Barber in = pass play or plays coming.

Or like when Henry goes into the bama backfield and people are thinking...." I bet they are going to run the ball"....
