Trump now 1 for 26 on court challenges

I read this morning that Trump's legal teams are now a whopping 1 for 26 on court challenges.  Still the only challenge they won was a minor one  in PA that got them to let observers be 6 feet rather than 10 feet away from vote counters.  And even that one has since been slapped down by the PA Supreme Court even though it was moot by the time they ruled.

Today he's on a Lie-By-Tweet rampage.  First, he claimed that there were more votes than people in Detroit.  This is demonstrably false.  There are roughly 1.4 million registered voters in Wayne County, MI.  There were 851,000 votes cast for President.  In just the city of Detroit, there are roughly 504,000 registered voters.  There were just under 247,000 votes cast for President.  

Then, he reiterated his claim that Republican poll watchers weren't allowed into the rooms where votes were being counted.  This has been debunked over and over, including the one most point to where Trumpbots were banging on the windows and chanting "Stop the count."  Yes, the idiots demonstrating weren't allowed in.  But there were already Republican, Democrat and independent poll watchers in the room watching the counts.

It's one thing to say "well, he says things that are indelicate that he shouldn't."  It's entirely another for someone to repeatedly and brazenly lie - not about matters of opinions or disputed interpretations of stats - but about matters of provable fact.

January 20 can't get here fast enough.  And frankly, if I'm Twitter and Facebook, I'd delete his account the second he's no longer president.

I don't know that it will ever be answered. Like, we kinda know how the Nazis rose to power, and why people spat on veterans returning from Vietnam. But do we really understand it? I dunno. 

Btw, I'm not sure these fools are even as crazy as the people doxxing and threatening healthcare leaders over COVID. Of course, the Venn diagram of the two groups probably has some heavy overlap.

I wonder how exactly what the cost of all this really is. His lawyers, the courts being tied up with this nonsense instead of important work, unnecessary in-person interactions risking COVID infections, all the ongoing stress that he's putting on his supporters which they are in turn displacing onto election officials and other people in the community, the distrust in elections that will take a generation to restore... 

It's all just more reality TV to him. (The irony being, of course, that 'reality TV' is not a depiction of reality, but a perversion and a degradation of it.)

i think what trump is doing is close to treason and i think he should be held accountable. hang him or put him in front of a firing squad and we might not have to put up with this kinda stupid crap for many years to come. so am i standing up for whats right or have i gone to the darkside? lol

Definitely don't want to make him a martyr for the zombies but you're right that he needs to be prosecuted. For all of his crimes. Fortunately New York has a big head start on that.
