Train. Wreck.

are we still all in on Harsin?

Tank hurts, no way around it. But like the poster above said, sometimes you gotta build from scratch. Let's be real guys, we were 6-6 last year and 6-4 in 2020 with Bo and Tank leading the way. Maybe some fresh energy is needed. If not, we'll suck again and will replace Harsin and the personnel again in a couple years

There is no way a HC can allow any player to make demands of the team. To start or to control play calling (even if the wrong plays are called). IMO

What evidence do we have of a player demanding to be able to Peyton manning the game? Genuinely asking.

This is actually less of a surprise than Bo.  Started hearing mid season that Auburn may need to bring in another RB recruit.  Gotta be tough averaging 3 yards a carry when you are supposed to be all everything

So he is going to transfer bc he doesn’t think we can provide blocking for him? That would be ridiculous if true.

He said earlier it's OC related. Austin Davis might have taken the job.

OL recruiting isn’t shaping up to the best right now.

Transfer portal could turn out to be different. But not starting out hot

Read it in the Bo thread earlier.

I understand what u are saying but the problem is coaching contributed to this years 6 and 6. If that don’t improve Fresh blood won’t help.

I say again, sometimes you have to tear it all down to the foundation to build something better.

Yeah, but this is the foundation. Strength is/was the RBs on offense. That who’s leaving… Worm and possibly Tank. And the three year starting QB that was born orange and blue and about as much of a foundation as can be off the field, and often times on the field.

Another important phase is the actual rebuild. This all would be lightened if we were blowing the doors off recruiting. And we are not.

Lot of folks don't get this.

Also, what are we really tearing down?  We were a middling program for much of the last 5-6 years.  Is it worth keeping status quo if that means 6-8 wins a year vs building something that could yield much better results?

No, it will take years to rebuild everything…

That is what Harsin is trying to do. You can’t fix 4 years of not recruiting O linemen in 1 year.
Now I will say Harsin better get on it quick because so far his OL recruiting is almost as bad as Gus. he better hit that portal… or it won’t matter who is playing QB.

He hasn’t had a chance to do s*** with the OL yet. This is ALL on Gus.

Well we have two three star recruits currently incoming on the o line and have received zero portal guys thus far so we are quickly approaching the end of that narrative but hey Roger McCreary was a three star guy too so its not all about the ratings..

This is what I don’t get about a lot of posters here. They act like a juggernaut football dynasty is being torn apart.

Losing Tank to UGA because we couldn't figure out how to use him, especially after we almost lost him this previous offseason, would be the most embarrassing thing I have ever seen to this program, and I watched every game of 2012

Agreed, game management needs to get better. Complete overhaul of personnel though. Harsin about to get "his guys." If he doesn't turn it around, he will rightfully be gone in a couple years

We just lost the best two players on our offense and a metric sh*t ton of game time experience and we got guys saying “it’s just all part of the plan to rebuild from scratch”. Harsin stated on day one he wanted to win now. There wasn’t ever a “rebuild”. Good luck winning anything with all of your talented starters dipping out on you. Tank and Bo were hard workers. They lead with their play and in the weight room. Losing those two guys is going to hurt a ton. Get used to being bottom 3 in the West.

Maybe we will get some players from Idaho to replace them? Idk

I respectfully disagree at least 2 of those 5years I know for sure Auburn was first or second. On average Auburn has historically been an 8 or 9 win team with some double digit win seasons sprinkled in. Also with Texas and Oklahoma lurking is this really a good time to be starting from the bottom. Most would be optimistic if the recruiting was say top 10 or some big name portal guys coming in. None of that seems to be the case. I guess Wednesday will give some clarity.

If Harsin were actually building something, our best player--with no disciplinary record (ala Dyer)--wouldn't be bailing on us.

No he said you want it right now or do you want it done right. He never said anything about winning now. 🤷
