Not saying he's as good as Watson but Davis is Chad's top target & has been from day 1 because Chad thinks & expects Davis run a Watson style O from his Clemson days whatever that means to you.

FINALLY. I have not had fun watching a AU offense since 2014 sans for a brief pit stop in the 2017 season for the stretch run of the regular season. Chad's offense at cousin clem was always the perfect mixture of Pass and run. I never got bored with watching it like I have countless times with Gustav's vanilla run run run run style.

When a recruit is one day away from announcing, I often can't just get them on the phone and even if I could, I wouldn't be able to always relay to everyone what is going on in the head of a teenager. I'm not a mind-reader.

What I can tell you is I expect him -- at this time -- to announce Sunday morning around 10 CT. I've heard it could be on television but I don't know that for sure just yet.

Auburn continues to like its chances. From what I'm told, the Tigers knew in advance the exact day he was de-committing from Virginia Tech -- and also knew a few days ago Davis was announcing Sunday. So someone is keeping the staff in the loop, which is a good sign one would think.

People have referred to an Instagram post ... I don't know if it was Davis who made it or not. But it says there's a top thee of Virginia Tech, LSU and Texas A&M.

Well, from what I'm told the Hokies would be extremely surprised if Davis picked them. Of the other two, one of them isn't really recruiting him and the other has a 4-star quarterback already committed (actually, they both do.).

When you combine all of that with the fact Auburn likes where it sits, I'm keeping my pick on Auburn.

Could things change? It's recruiting, so of course ...

I think Nick Marshall’s best attribute as as a runner was how smart he was in the open field (when to cut up, when to juke, how to juke, etc), and Davis has that same package, if not a little bit better? As far as his straight up going up the field and kicking into another gear, it’s very reminiscent of Kyler. His acceleration is crazy 

Now I’ll add, Nick was doing this against the best conference in the sport and Davis is doing all this in HS, but he passes the eye test

It’s HS but it’s not like Davis is going against scrubs. That’s major Texas HS football he’s playing
