Is too early for a kicker controversy!?

this kid is real deal

One of em will portal out eventually. Both are too good to sit.

Time to worry about the OL. Again.

Meh…all they did was pass-block, basically. Hard to gauge.

Those watching didn’t see it, either.😎

Freaking ESPN camera work missed the 58 yarder by McGough to end the scrimmage.

Good ole ESPN, probably cut away to mention that UA is in the F4 tomorrow.

Spring game is never, zero, zip, nadda an indicator of how the team will play in the fall.

cam newton looked very very pedestrian in the spring game and the team looked very average.  Won a natty.

we may be way better - or worse - than today.

Exactly

If the offensive line could run block I think that would open up a whole lot for Peyton Thorne

If we kick 7 a game there’s enough opportunity for both.

Not a lot to judge off but honest to God I think Hank Brown is our best QB

It was pretty accurate last spring..😂

It’s been pretty accurate most springs tbh. I knew somebody was gone bring up the Cam year but that year was an anomaly. Spring ball ain’t that serious but usually you can kinda tell how you’re going to look during the season

Did we have a running play get positive yards?

I was joking when I said that but really. What a good problem to have.

Towns came here as a kicker because of our NFL history with kickers. He knows what’s in front of him and will redshirt.  We are good at Kicker for the next 5 years!

I had to quit watching after the first Thorne to Coleman completion. And I saw a pass from Hank Brown. How did the QBs look the rest of the game?

Maybe it has something to do with what appears that we have one play with 3 variations.

The coaches were never going to show much anyway. We won’t know to any real degree until Fall. JMO

Regarding that 2010 ADay, I remember thinking when they let Cam throw to the 1st string WRs this offense is going to be fun.  The slow walk-on WRs couldn’t handle his hot throws.

Everybody could tell Cam was physically something different than we’d ever had.

Just based on what I seen, it will be a lot of save me throws from QB, hoping the running game  can take the next step and relying on the kicking game. I don't expect a grand resurgence based on W/L.

Can you elaborate those who couldn’t watch? Much appreciated.

Last play of the “game” was a 58-59 yard FG that would’ve been good from 65-70 yds by the backup kicker Towns McGough (pronounced “McGoo”). The kick “won” the “game” for the offense according to the points scoring system used by Freeze this year. The kicker got swarmed after it went through. And the SEC network cameras didn’t even show the kick. They were too busy switching camera angles back and forth between Chris Doering being Coach Freeze’s on-field microphone b***h and a zoomed in side shot of the kicker.

Freeze got a little of that Roy Munson in him as well!
