Right now Auburn has room for 2 EEs. Any more than that has to come from December grads on the Auburn football team.

Good information in this thread. Excellent news! Lemond will be a great addition to the AU program.

Yep, his highlights are very impressive. He does it all. Insane athlete.

We are on our way to having more "Johnson's" than the town of Rock Ridge in "Blazing Saddles"!!!!

I had a similar thought.   :we:

For those who are complaining that we are only picking projects for DB. There is a reason for that. DB's are usually some of the best athletes on any team. because of that they often play multiple positions in HS as the HS coach wants to give his team the best chance to win. Also most schools have a run first pass second mentality in HS so most players don't get the chance to develop or showcase their DB skills.

That is why so many schools pick athletes and convert them to DB's. Taller faster athletes tend to become WR's or Safety's or Grow into LBrs and Smaller, Quicker, Faster guys with good hips become CB's.

Probably more than any other position in Pro Football you see DB's come out of smaller schools who were not 4* and 5* out of HS.

That is why itis so important to trust the coach's when it comes to DB pickups.

The coach's like him so that is more than enough for me so welcome aboard Mr. Johnson and a Big War Eagle to you.

With only 2 classes required to graduate, seems a given LJ is 1. Both Foster and Walker plan to enroll early, so something has to give.

Doubtful! Likely that; we either don't take both, ask 1 to not graduate early, or 1 won't be able to graduate early. All of these kids are too good to pay their own way.

Or they can graduate early and chill and train til May like Arik Armstead ended up doing.

We could take more if more players graduate in December.

In simplest terms no team can have more than 85 scholarship players in school at anytime. This includes any freshman that are EEs.

Well, I am no expert, but I might say that Auburn is flexing its muscles, very visibly.  AU is more than likely to have the best defensive line class in the nation, a top LB class, and now the coaches are telling recruits to pull the trigger cause we running out of room.  WDE and I am STOKED about this class. :we:

Great free article on Rival's about Johnson's Big Cat visit and his father, who is a highschool football coach, raving about Auburn. Also quotes Melton and Ryan Greens parents:

If y'all have yet to read the article robbykidd posted at the beginning of the thread, you should. Highlight for me was the discussion of Kamryn Melton's mom beating Dee Liner in the cake eating contest. Very good read.

You won't be disappointed at all.

Lemond Johnson will also be an early graduate. Only needs to pass two classes next fall to finish early.

@JHokanson

We need to line up at least 4 early enrollment guys. We've got four "backfill, use 'em or lose 'em" slots.

U always throw out the most random exceptions! Yes, that could happen, but name another instance recently besides AA? It's highly unlikely, thus not fitting in with my 'likely' options.
