When it comes to cause, I think we are getting it confused. It seems like we are thinking of cause as the reason for firing him. When they are saying fire with cause, they are talking about not having to pay a buyout which is guaranteed by contract unless there is a situation that voids it (also should be stated within contract what those situations are). It is similar to severance pay. A company can fire you if they feel you aren't performing, but if you have severance pay negotiated you will get it unless they can find a way out.

If you are referring to me I need to point out that I haven't been a Harsin basher. I hate all this has come up because I liked him.  Anyhow I'm thru with it and will try to refrain from making anymore posts until it's resolved one way or the other. I know it's time to stop when I get face palmed by my bud DAG for asking a curious question (LOL).

I want him gone so bad, but I can't believe people are making a big deal about how he walked into the building. Probably some other coaches saying, "Wait, we could have gone in a different door??"

I've been one of the "give him another year" posters, but with everything thats happened I don't feel like he's going to succeed next year, so cut-bait or give him a year...whatever. just let us know what the plan is.

I personally think it is PR suicide to fire a coach after one year unless he completely dismantled the program (Which he has not done). However, as you express, I feel the same. CBH is probably not tripping at all. At least not like the fans are doing. This man seems to not care and is going to keep working or get a major pay day at the very end. So if it is just not a workable relationship just fire the guy lol

I mean, if they are looking for a case to fire him, why not reestablish the rule that all employees be COVID-19 vaccinated?  Weren't we worried he would be fired for that in December until Auburn reversed course?

I don't think they're saying Harsin entering the side door is the news; it's that he's there at all.

If the PTB at Auburn were going to get rid of him, or if they had a "smoking gun," then he would've already been gone and wouldn't be there.

It looks like -- and I know 80 percent won't want to hear this -- that Harsin will be back or has won the inner power struggle. Starting to look more and more like it. Unless they can get him to just go away. To do that, if they want to bad enough, they may have to pony up the entire $18 million.

Question is, if Hugh Freeze is the pick and for WHATEVER reason says no, who in the world would want to walk into this mess without guarantees that something similar won't happen to them in two years?
